When you live life halfway, satisfied with giving little of yourself, with the excuse that life is long and opportunities are many, you live in mediocrity.
There are people who put in only a little of their effort without exerting themselves too much when trying to do something. They do not explore all their possibilities, they are satisfied with little, they have a vague and superficial intention about how to achieve their purpose, and they generally trust too much in their abilities and in their luck. They say that just a little is enough since they are capable and they know what they are doing. There are occasions that they are lucky and achieve their purpose by chance. But if this does not come to pass, they act like victims, full of excuses or explanations, blaming everyone for their failures. They are people who live halfway. For them, full commitment is a package that is too big and heavy to carry.
Camilo thinks that he has life all figured out. He has big dreams, and he is sure that he is going to achieve them. However, the reality is very different than his beliefs, since he does not like to become fully involved in what he does.
When he went to college, he met all the minimum requirements so as to not have problems, but since he did not put in effort, he never stood out for his work or his participation.
At work, although he is punctual, friendly and responsible, he has never made an effort to stand out since he thinks that it is not necessary. He limits himself to doing the minimum that is required for his job. Camilo does what is asked of him, but if it does not come out right, he says that he tried to do what he could. He does not realize that sometimes you have to make many attempts before achieving what you are really looking for.
The curious thing is that he is surprised when he loses the jobs. He does not realize that although he is an adequate worker, keeping him is not vital and he can be easily replaced if the work situation requires reducing personnel.
Even his relationships do not imply his having to be fully involved. When he does not like something, he avoids confrontations and distances himself from others, so that he cultivates superficial relationships that he can easily distance himself from.
His family is desperate since he cannot come out ahead. Camilo brings in the indispensable minimum to maintain his home, but lives with many debts. He says that he does what is possible to bring in more income but the truth is that he does not give his best, and his effort is always halfway. He lives waiting for a day when his luck will change. He does not realize that "he himself is his luck," and it is he who must change for his life to improve.

Living with excellence
Ingredients:
- 1 bunch of effort
- 2 springs of commitment
- 4 drops of persistence
- 1 piece of motivation
- 2 slices of initiative
- 1 cup of confidence
- Ongoing improvement
Seasonings:
Enthusiasm, positivism and hope
Caution: Living without giving the best of you limits the true possibilities
Method of preparation:
- The Individual potential is unlimited when great goals are sought. A cook who clearly knows what he wants out of his life does not limit himself, nor does he find excuses. He knows that everything is possible and seeks by all means to achieve his end.
- Everyone can be a hero in his kitchen. It is not necessary to be rich or famous to be a hero. When you work hard and put in all your effort, personal abilities are maximized, so that you enjoy life more.
- A cook who seeks greatness turns his flaws into talents and takes advantage of each moment. Each cook has his own challenges to master. Having the motivation to succeed leads to achieving gratifying successes.
- When cooking with excellence, only the best ingredients are used. Preparing dishes with passion and enjoyment makes everything taste better. It does not leave room for mediocrity and conformism. When there is an effort and true commitment, the recipes become unique and have a special touch.
"True greatness does not lie in 'where you are,' but in 'how far you have come.' It is not just the destination that matters, but how you got to it."
